Hey, I’m Carla — registered marriage celebrant, Dunsborough local and wholehearted believer that getting married should feel exciting, meaningful and completely true to you.
In 2026, I’m proudly celebrating 20 years as a registered marriage celebrant. Over those two decades, I’ve had the privilege of marrying hundreds of beautiful couples and guiding them through one of the most meaningful moments of their lives.
I’ve called Dunsborough home for more than 30 years and know this beautiful corner of the South West inside out — from hidden beaches and dramatic coastlines to peaceful forests, vineyards and intimate little ceremony spots away from the crowds.
My style is relaxed, warm and authentic — never overly formal, forced or cheesy. I’ll take care of the legal details, guide you through the entire process and create a ceremony that genuinely sounds and feels like the two of you.
Elopements and intimate weddings have my heart. There’s something incredibly special about stripping away the expectations and creating a celebration centred simply around your love, your story and the people who matter most.
Whether you’re dreaming of barefoot vows beside the ocean, a secluded forest ceremony or something beautifully simple with just the two of you, Paul and I will help bring it together with plenty of care, local knowledge and absolutely no unnecessary fuss.

Paul
Paul is a professional photographer with almost two decades of experience and a career built around the art of storytelling.
With a background spanning weddings, photojournalism and editorial photography, Paul has photographed people, places, products and moments for leading publications, broadcasters and brands across Australia and internationally. His work has appeared in Fortune Magazine, PBS America, MICHELIN Guide, The West Australian, The Sunday Times, X Factor, Bon Appétit, SBS, Channel 7, PerthNow, Real Weddings Magazine, Scoop Magazine and Wine Business Magazine, among others. He has also worked for brands and businesses including Rio Tinto, Harley-Davidson, Margaret River Gourmet Escape, Cape Lodge, Xanadu Estate and numerous South West wineries and hospitality businesses.
His photography has taken him throughout Australia and overseas, including weddings in Italy and Alaska, and he has documented more than 200 weddings along the way.
Over the course of his career, Paul has also had the privilege of photographing some of the world’s most recognised personalities, including Curtis Stone, Rick Stein, John Farnham, Olivia Newton-John, René Redzepi, Bill Davidson, AA Gill, John John Florence, Taj Burrow and Bronte McCaulay.
But for Paul, photography has always been about more than simply creating beautiful images. His photojournalistic approach is centred on observation, connection and authenticity — allowing moments to unfold naturally rather than forcing them.
At Dunsborough Elopement Co., Paul brings this experience to intimate weddings and elopements throughout the South West. He looks for the in-between moments: the quiet anticipation, the laughter, the fleeting glances, the people you love and all the little details that make your day uniquely yours.

Paul was amazing. From our very first call (where my now husband gave me the thumbs up and mouthed “this is the one” about 20 seconds into the call) we felt utterly at ease.
We were arranging our Ferguson Valley, WA wedding from the UK where we lived at the time but this wasn’t an issue at all for Paul. He helped us work through timings for the day and then arrived and managed to subtly keep us all on track and completely at ease throughout the whole event.
We had wonderful photos getting ready and then our couple photos after the ceremony were completely magical. He fitted around us and the whole day was a dream, in no small part thanks to Paul and his professionalism and being prepared for everything.
Everyone has commented how wonderful he was and we would recommend him 1000% to everyone for their special day.

Choosing Paul as our photographer was the best decision we made about our big day.
The photos Paul captured for us were unlike anything I ever could have expected or hoped for and although I had seen his albums during our meetings I was skeptical that anyone could create such amazing photos for every couple he works with.
Not only were the photos amazing but Paul made our afternoon so much fun, he is relaxed, light hearted and 100% genuine when he puts in his best effort to capture your moments. After seeing Paul’s work online and speaking to him about our requirements, we knew we had to fly him over to Victoria for our wedding.
Our wedding was held in the Macedon Ranges over Easter, and Paul’s eye for both capturing nature and humans was perfect for us.
He took some amazing images of what was a very special day, at both our home where the ceremony & reception was held, and amongst the granite outcrops of the Tooboorac region. We submitted a selection of the images to Real Weddings and they have confirmed a feature in one of their upcoming issues – enough said about the quality of his shots!
As well as being pretty handy with a camera, he’s a great guy to deal with, so Tracey and myself couldn’t be happier.
